My family encouraged me to have a private reading of Exile in Orbit, my chapbook about my father. August 17, 2018, was a moving evening at my childhood home with my mother, Ingrid, my husband, Sam, and some of our closest and oldest friends in the area, most of whom knew my dad. Unfortunately, my brother Georg couldn’t be there, but he’s been to all my other readings! Here I am with his best friend Konsti and my best friend Meggie. I feel unspeakably lucky to be buoyed in my life and writing by this loving, supportive circle.
